🏊 Smoketree Pool Rules & Policies
Welcome to Smoketree Pool! Our goal is to provide a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all members and guests. Please help us keep the pool fun for everyone by following these rules.
Important: No glass is permitted anywhere inside the pool gates.
General Pool Rules
- Alcohol is prohibited.
- Glass containers are prohibited.
- Gum is prohibited.
- Animals are prohibited.
- Profane language is prohibited.
- Rough play and dunking are prohibited.
- No running.
- No spitting.
- No flips from the poolside.
- No smoking or vaping inside pool gates.
- Lifeguards have full authority to enforce all pool rules.
- All swimmers swim at their own risk.
- Members must check in at the front gate.
- Proper swim attire is required.
- Diving is only permitted in the designated diving well.
Children & Supervision
- Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone who is at least 15 years old.
- Periodic safety breaks are held 15 minutes to the hour.
- During safety breaks, only adults age 18+ and parents with children age 2 and under may remain in the water.
Floatation Devices & Swim Diapers
- Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices and arm bands are permitted.
- Parents must remain within arm’s reach of children using flotation devices.
- Flotation devices are not permitted in the diving well.
- Pool noodles are allowed at the discretion of the lifeguards.
- Large floats are generally only allowed during designated float days or with management approval.
- Disposable and cloth diapers are prohibited in all pools.
- Children who are not potty trained must wear both a swim diaper and a bathing suit.
Baby Pool Rules
- The baby pool is for non-swimmers and children ages 4 and under.
- Lifeguards do not supervise the baby pool.
- An adult or guardian must directly supervise children at all times.
- If an accident occurs, notify a lifeguard immediately.
- Children experiencing diarrhea symptoms should not use the pool.
Deep End & Diving Board Rules
- Swimmers must be able to independently swim at least 15 yards to use the diving board.
- Lifeguards may require a swim test before allowing diving board use.
- Only one person is permitted on the diving board and stairs at a time.
- No flotation devices are allowed on the diving board.
- Parents may not catch children jumping from the diving board.
- Jump straight off the end of the board.
- Exit the diving well promptly after entering the water.
- Wait until the previous diver has cleared the area before diving.
- No swimming in the diving well when people are waiting to use the board.
- Only front-facing dives and flips are permitted.
- No goggles on the diving board.
- No catching from the diving board.
- Lifeguards may temporarily close the diving board for safety reasons.
Food, Smoking & Facility Use
- Food and beverages may not be consumed while in the pool or sitting on the pool edge.
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the pool gates.
- The designated smoking area is across the parking lot from the main entrance.
- The BBQ pit is available unless reserved for events.
- The fire pit requires advance approval from the Pool Manager.
- Only members age 25 or older may be authorized to use the fire pit.
- Guard rooms and pump rooms are staff-only areas.
Weather & Pool Closures
- The Pool Manager may close the pool at any time for health or safety concerns.
- The pool will close when outdoor temperatures are below 70°F.
- If thunder is heard, the pool will close for at least 30 minutes.
- If lightning is observed, everyone must leave the facility and the pool will close for at least 30 minutes.
- The 30-minute waiting period restarts with each occurrence of thunder or lightning.
Guest Policy
- All non-members are considered guests.
- Guests must be accompanied by a Smoketree Pool member.
- Members must register guests at the gate.
- Guest fees must be paid before entry.
- Members must remain with their guests throughout the visit.

Previously purchased guest passes remain valid.
